PENAMPANG: The Penampang Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCCI) urged shop owners in the district to hang the national and State flags at their premises throughout the month of August. Its President Victor Kou said in conjunction of the upcoming Merdeka Day, a set of the flags will be available in the chamber’s office. “It can be collected by eligible members during office hours from 9am to 5pm.

“For enquiries, please contact the PCCCI Secretariat at 088-725 648 or email penampangccci@hotmail.com,” he said in a statement. In RANAU, the launch of National Day Month at district-level will be held on Aug 16 at the Cultural Stage grounds in Kundasang town starting at 8am.

Ranau District Officer, Jumain Abd Ghani, said various events will be carried out at the levent, which is themed “Malaysia Madani Tekad Perpaduan Penuhi Harapan”.“Among the activities include the Jalur Gemilang Adventure Convoy 2023 organised by the Information Department (JaPen) Sabah (Ranau), a decorated bicycle competition, exhibitions from various State and Federal government agencies and more,” he said.Jumain, who is also Chairman of the Welcome Committee for the celebration, said this when met after a meeting at the Ranau District Office, recently. Jumain said the launching ceremony will be completed by Kundasang Assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam.Jumain invited people from Ranau and around Kundasang to attend the launching ceremony and make the event merrier.In SANDAKAN, district Chinese Chamber of Commerce will hold a Malaysia Day Expo from 10am to 9pm at the SMJK Tiong Hua Sandakan and parking lot on the ground floor of the hall on Sept 15-17.Sandakan Chinese Chamber of Commerce Chairman Chia Hock Ak said one of the aims was to give traders the opportunity to promote and sell local products.Among them are agricultural products, information and technology, electrical goods and household necessities, industrial equipment and machinery, tourism products, food products, real estate, vehicles and various service products, he said.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
